to buildings and as such entails costs amounting to millions each year. It allows pollutants and microorganisms to penetrate masonry while washing out binding agents and salts. We have for many years successfully committed ourselves to protecting buildings against -water. Two of the products that deserve special mention here are our silicon resin and silicon waterproofing agents that provide optimum protection owing to their water-repellent properties and their high UV and weather resistance. Since high water vapour permeability of the masonry or coating system is maintained, a physiologically healthy indoor climate is created.
For building protection purposes, Graf has for a long time offered solventless aqueous products that are in no way inferior to the traditional industrial solvents still in use today, neither in quality nor in effectiveness. These products help our domestic and international customers in the phasing out of traditional solvents as required by environmental policy. In addition, Graf offers products designed for paintwork and finishes as well as for manufactured building materials such as clay, aerated concrete, and fibrated concrete, including impregnating agents, primers, wax/paraffin emulsions, wetting agents, dispersing agents, and foam inhibitors. Again, the products are backed by most stringent quality management and tested in our own laboratories using proprietary equipment - to protect against water while protecting the environment.
